Is Chess unblocked at school?

ChessWAI runs in an ordinary browser tab with nothing to install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.

How strong is the computer?

The AI looks a fixed number of moves ahead and scores each position by material and piece placement. This page starts on Normal, which searches three half-moves deep. Newbie looks one half-move ahead and Easy two, so they miss simple tactics; Hard searches four and Hardest five, so they take longer to reply but rarely hang a piece. Pick a level from the Choose level menu above the board.

Below the board, Switch side lets you play Black, Resign ends the game, Restart sets up a new one and Play alone turns the board into a two-player game on one screen. When a pawn reaches the last rank you choose a queen, rook, bishop or knight.
